A Circle of Friends?

Swamp rats don't appear to tolerate others of their kind
Not even when it's a young one who appeared to have followed its mother
through the 'metro system' of tunnels to emerge from the flower pot
But birds are another matter altogether
No matter how busy it is with birds,
and as long as the 'stroppy' doves are not in a bad mood............
They happily tolerate the birds
and the tolerance is generally reciprocated
Even being completely surrounded and cut off from the
refuge flowerpot, doesn't seem to worry the bolder rats.
although the nervousness of others indicated the presence
of a larger population
Birds that don't visit very often, like this Eastern Rosella,
appear slightly bemused by the little rats
